Our Father in Heaven, I come before You today with a broken heart. I confess that I have hidden my hardened heart behind outward piety. I have lived through formal worship without true repentance. In this final week of Lent, break through the hard shell around my heart. Like David, let me hide nothing before Youβlet me bow before You in genuine contrition and repentance. I hold fast to Your promise that You will never despise a broken and contrite heart. Help me to prepare for Holy Week with sincere devotion. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Lord, I desire to follow Your example of humble service. I meditate deeply on the love shown by giving Your life as ransom for me. Lord, we praise You as the grain of wheat that fell to the earth and died on the cross, bearing much fruit. Neither death nor life, neither today's troubles nor tomorrow's fears β nothing can separate me from Your love. As this Lenten season draws to its close, let me gaze upon the cross and confess: Your love is greater than my fear, deeper than my sin, wider than my limitations. Let me live within that love.
